Wheeling Health Right is proud to announce the completion of a new, fully equipped dental suite, marking the final phase of a major expansion project to its dental clinic. The addition brings the total number of dental suites from two to four, effectively doubling the clinic’s capacity and addressing a long-standing waiting list of over 200 patients.
The renovation, which began in 2023, included significant upgrades to the clinic’s infrastructure to better serve the oral health needs of the region’s underserved population. The newly completed fourth suite is equipped with a state-of-the-art dental chair, cabinetry, and essential equipment and supplies.

Wheeling Health Right provides care to more than 27,000 patients in the Upper Ohio Valley who are uninsured or underinsured. Many patients work multiple part-time jobs just to make ends meet, making the clinic an essential resource for the working poor.
“We are grateful to our partners who helped us realize our goal of furnishing this room,” Ricci added. Funding for the new suite was made possible through generous grants from The Highmark West Virginia Charitable Fund for Health and the Encova Foundation of West Virginia.
“Our Dental Clinic and its state-of-the-art equipment enable us to perform advanced, time-intensive procedures such as dentures and complex restorations,” Ricci continued. “Dental care truly transforms lives, as oral health directly impacts nutrition, chronic disease, employability, and confidence. These services also help reduce unnecessary ER visits and save taxpayer dollars.”
Wheeling Health Right remains committed to improving access to comprehensive health care for the region’s most vulnerable residents.
